Capcom announces Monster Hunter Wilds demo for Nintendo Switch 2

Capcom has announced that a free prologue demo for Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop starting October 19, 2026. The demo coincides with the launch of digital pre-orders for the full game.

Players can experience the beginning of the story, which includes a comprehensive character creator for customizing hunters and their Palico companions. Features include detailed adjustments to facial structure, hair, voice, and equipment. The demo will also support local play, allowing users to hunt with friends.

Save data from the prologue demo can be transferred to the full version of the game upon its release. This release serves as an opportunity for the community to test the game's performance in both docked and handheld modes on the new hardware.
