Capcom Monster Hunter Wilds updates
Entities: PlayStation 5 · Capcom Co., Ltd. · Monster Hunter Wilds · Xbox Series X/S · PC
Overview
In mid‑July 2026 Capcom announced a permanent reduction in the retail price of Monster Hunter Wilds and the retirement of existing Deluxe and Cosmetic DLC passes. The company introduced three new bundled options – the Gold Edition, a full Cosmetic DLC Collection, and an Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack – aimed at simplifying purchase choices ahead of the planned Ascendance expansion for 2027.
Two weeks later, Capcom detailed Patch 1.042.00.00 slated for early August 2026. The update removes the online‑only restriction on all 25 previously released Event and Challenge Quests, allowing them to be completed offline. It also adds a direct transfer of progress from the Prolog demo, reorders the quest‑selection menu to prioritize offline quests, and includes various bug fixes and performance tweaks for PC graphics drivers.
