Capcom brings frame generation to Dragon’s Dogma 2 on Nintendo Switch 2
Capcom has confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will utilize frame generation technology on the Nintendo Switch 2. According to producer Naoto Otama, the game will run at 30 fps in both handheld and TV modes, but the implementation of frame generation will allow for a perceived visual fluidity of 60 fps by interpolating frames.
While the technology may cause slight ghosting in certain situations, Capcom has decided to include it as the benefit to the user experience outweighs the limitations. The feature will be active by default in the game's demo, while players will have the option to toggle it on or off in the full version.
In related gaming news, a study by Chicks Gold using data from HowLongToBeat has identified the Nintendo Switch 2 as having the easiest games of 2025, with an average difficulty score of 11 out of 100. The study identified Split Fiction, developed by Hazelight Studios, as the easiest game on the platform.
