Capcom enables offline Event and Challenge Quests in Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom announced Patch 1.042.00.00 for Monster Hunter Wilds, scheduled for release on 4 August 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The update, sized at roughly 3.5 GB, removes the online requirement for all 25 previously released Event and Challenge Quests, allowing players to complete these timed hunts in solo offline mode.

The patch also adds direct transfer of progress from the Prolog demo into the full game, revises the quest‑selection menu to list available offline quests first, and introduces a series of bug fixes—including visual glitches, weapon‑placement issues, and audio dropouts—and performance tweaks for NVIDIA DLSS and AMD Radeon drivers on PC.
