Capcom releases Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expansion

Capcom has released the Dark Arisen expansion for Dragon’s Dogma 2, introducing new content to the action-RPG franchise. The expansion is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with mentions of its arrival on the Switch 2.

The new content features the frozen Norgan region, a narrative involving the Fallen Dragon, and twelve additional dungeons. Players can encounter a mysterious character named Eir while exploring the snow-covered northern territory to uncover secrets regarding the Arisen. The expansion also includes new weaponry, skills, and relics.

While the main quest provides approximately 20 hours of gameplay, the expansion focuses on an atmospheric mood and explores themes related to the original 2012 title and the 2024 base game. This release follows a period of incremental updates intended to address previous performance issues in the base game.
