Capcom reveals character details for ‘Onimusha Way of the Sword’

Capcom has announced a new character introduction video series for its upcoming sword-fighting action game, ‘Onimusha Way of the Sword’. The series, titled ‘Onimusha Kirokucho’, will consist of nine installments released sequentially.

The videos will be narrated by the ‘Oni no Kajo’ (voiced by Aya Endo), a female member of the Oni clan residing within the protagonist Miyamoto Musashi’s ‘Oni Gauntlet’. The first character revealed is the protagonist, Miyamoto Musashi (voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya), a martial artist in Kyoto whose path is altered by demonic powers.

Scheduled for release on September 4, 2026, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows), and Nintendo Switch 2. The title is rated CERO Z for ages 18 and up.
