Capcom reveals details for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance
Capcom has revealed new details for the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance expansion, which is slated for release on December 31, 2027. The expansion will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
New gameplay mechanics include the Boost Bracer, a device designed to temporarily enhance a hunter's combat abilities and strengthen the properties of all 14 weapon types. The expansion also introduces Master Rank missions and new environments, such as the Skybound Eyrie, a region located high above the clouds featuring ancient ruins and unique endemic life.
Story details indicate the narrative follows the aftermath of the sudden appearance of the elder dragon Lao-Shan Lung in the Forbidden Lands. New monsters showcased include the Araketa, a flying wyvern that moves in packs, and the elder dragon Gundoraja, which possesses control over storm clouds.
