Capcom sets Oct 9 2026 release for Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen expansion, adds 60 FPS update and new save slots

Capcom announced that the Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen expansion will launch on October 9 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. The paid DLC, priced at $29.99 (or $49.99 for a standalone edition), introduces a new frozen region called Norgan, randomized relic gear, additional dungeons, a Hard Mode and a suite of combat‑tweaking features.

Ahead of the expansion, a free August patch will bring performance improvements to 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X, expand each vocation’s weapon skill slots from four to six, and overhaul the save system with autosave, interim save and “Last Inn Rest” save types plus three dedicated character slots. The update also rebalances the Dragon Plague mechanic and improves PC system requirements and engine stability.

Capcom’s director Kento Kinoshita and producer Naoto Oyama said the changes respond to long‑standing community feedback, aiming to deepen progression and reduce frustration for players.
