Italy experiences series of fatal road accidents

Multiple fatal traffic accidents have been reported across various regions in Italy.

In Capo d’Orlando, Sicily, an 18-year-old motorcyclist, Edoardo Ratto, died after losing control of his scooter on the Statale 113. A 20-year-old passenger was seriously injured and hospitalized with multiple fractures. The incident is noted for its tragic connection to the victim's family, as his father died in a similar accident on the same road thirteen years ago.

In Luino, Varese, a 15-year-old boy died after a Lancia Ypsilon carrying three young residents overturned into a field near a roundabout. The 18-year-old driver sustained a femur fracture and head trauma, while a 17-year-old passenger was also injured.

Other fatal incidents include a 20-year-old student, Andrea Carbone, who died following a collision between his motorcycle and a Volkswagen Tiguan in the Saronno area. Additionally, in the Borgo Faina area near Ravenna, a 29-year-old driver died in a head-on collision between a Dacia and a Mercedes; the driver of the Mercedes reportedly tested positive for high blood alcohol levels.
