On October 23, an 18-year-old driver, identified as Edoardo Ratto, died following a crash on the SS113 state road near Capo d'Orlando. Investigators are examining whether the driver lost control while attempting to overtake a truck. A 20-year-old passenger sustained serious injuries and multiple fractures in the incident. The crash was noted for a tragic connection to the victim's family, as his father died in a similar accident on the same road thirteen years ago.
