Cappella dell'Assunta at Castello di Castellamonte reopens

The Cappella dell’Assunta at the Castello di Castellamonte has reopened to the public for its annual festival following a restoration project funded by PNRR funds. The reopening includes access to the historic complex, the chapel, and the Torre Rossa.

The restoration has recovered significant artistic elements, including a painted altar designed by architect Amedeo di Castellamonte. The chapel has historically served as a major religious site for the territory, used by bishops of Ivrea for special liturgies.
