Car Choice Awards 2026: Hybrid and style trends emerge

The Car Choice Awards (CCA) 2026 is highlighting shifting consumer preferences in the automotive market, particularly regarding hybrid technology and aesthetic design.

In the popular hybrid category, Chinese manufacturers are currently leading the rankings. The Jaecoo J5 SHS-H holds the top position with over 55,000 votes, followed by the Omoda C5 SHS-H and Geely EX5 EM-i. South Korean models, including the Hyundai Tucson HEV and Kia Sportage HEV, occupy the remaining top spots in this segment.

The premium hybrid category features a competitive three-way race between South Korean, Japanese, and Chinese brands. The Hyundai Palisade HEV currently leads, while the Honda CR-V e:HEV RS has moved into second place, ahead of the Lynk & Co 900 PHEV and the Mazda CX-90 PHEV.

Regarding the “Stylish Car” category, expert Dương Quang notes a generational shift in design preferences. Younger consumers are moving away from traditional shapes toward digitalized, futuristic aesthetics, exemplified by models like the VF 3 and EX2. Additionally, there is a growing emphasis on emotional design and personalized features to appeal to female drivers.
