Vietnam Better Choice Awards 2026

The Better Choice Awards 2026 were launched on 5 August 2026 at Hanoi’s National Innovation Center under the theme “Innovation Beyond Borders”. Co-organized by VCCorp, the NIC, the Department of Innovation, and the Ministry of Science and Technology, the programme comprises four award groups: Smart Choice (consumer technology), Car Choice (mobility), Innovative Choice (user-experience solutions), and the newly added Nation Builders category.

Nation Builders will be judged through two parallel tracks: an expert council assessing contributions to infrastructure, energy, finance, strategic technology, and quality of life, and a public “Proud Vietnam” vote to select a Brand of the Year.

The Car Choice segment, operating under the theme “Shaping The Next Drive,” has been expanded for its fifth season to recognize vehicle models, people, events, and initiatives. It features more than 15 categories grouped into Family, Trend, Style, and “Marks of the Year.” The Family category includes specific price-point subdivisions, such as vehicles under 600 million VND, 600 million to 1 billion VND, and 1 to 2 billion VND. The awards follow a consumer-centric philosophy of “not the best, but the most suitable,” covering gasoline, hybrid, and electric options.

The Smart Choice Awards, partnered with Better Choice and utilizing GenK’s technology reporting team, will evaluate smartphones, laptops, smart-home devices, wearables, and digital services. Judging involves veteran tech journalists and industry experts focusing on real-world experience, value, and specific benefits like AI capability, design, or productivity.

The ceremony is scheduled for early October 2026 at the National Convention Center, aligning with Party Resolution 57’s emphasis on digital transformation.
