Car Choice Awards 2026: Hybrid vehicle rankings show Chinese and Korean dominance
The Car Choice Awards (CCA) 2026 rankings show a significant shift toward green vehicle technology, specifically within the hybrid segment. After two weeks of voting, the results reveal distinct trends between mass-market and premium hybrid categories.
In the popular hybrid category, Chinese manufacturers are currently dominating the top rankings. The Jaecoo J5 SHS-H leads with over 55,825 votes, followed by the Omoda C5 SHS-H and Geely EX5 EM-i. South Korean models, including the Hyundai Tucson HEV and Kia Sportage HEV, occupy the remaining top positions.
The premium hybrid category presents a more competitive three-way battle between South Korean, Japanese, and Chinese brands. The Hyundai Palisade HEV currently holds the top spot with 47,910 votes. Meanwhile, the Honda CR-V e:HEV RS has moved into second place, overtaking the Lynk & Co 900 PHEV and distancing itself from the Mazda CX-90 PHEV.
