Car dealer shot dead and wife injured in Tuba attack

A 50-year-old car dealer, Kwesi Rahman, was shot dead during a late-night attack outside his residence at Beach Drive Estate in the Ga South Municipality near Tuba. The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, as Rahman and his wife were returning from an evening walk.

An unidentified assailant emerged and opened fire on the couple at the entrance to their home. Mr. Rahman sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene. His wife was also hit several times and is currently in critical condition at a hospital; the location of the medical facility has not been disclosed for security reasons.

The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation to identify the gunman and determine the motive behind the shooting, which has not yet been established. Local residents have expressed significant concern regarding community security and have called for increased police patrols in the area.
