Fatal shooting in Tuba, Ghana

Overview

On August 6, 2026, a car dealer was shot and killed outside his residence at Beach Drive Estate in the Ga South Municipality near Tuba. His wife was also wounded in the attack and remains in critical condition.

Following an investigation by the Accra Regional Police Command, two brothers, Adams Adder Almeida and Bala Bilyon, were arrested. Almeida allegedly confessed to the shooting, citing mental distress over insults from the deceased as his motive. He identified a friend named Gideon as the provider of the firearm, which was recovered from Bilyon's room. While the suspects are in custody, Gideon remains at large.
