Carabinieri conduct road safety checks in Medio Campidano

The Carabinieri conducted extraordinary road safety and prevention operations across the Medio Campidano territory, including Villacidro, San Gavino Monreale, and Serramanna. The initiative, coordinated by the Cagliari Provincial Command, involved checking over 40 individuals and approximately 20 vehicles to enforce traffic regulations and prevent dangerous driving behaviors.

During the operation in San Gavino Monreale, authorities stopped a 28-year-old man who was found in possession of a small amount of cocaine following a personal and vehicle search. In a separate incident in Serramanna, a 23-year-old man was found with a small amount of hashish, which was administratively seized. Both individuals were reported to the competent authorities.

These measures are part of a broader prevention plan aimed at protecting citizen safety and combating driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The Carabinieri intend to maintain a presence in the area to ensure continued road security.
