Carabinieri honored with school artwork and futsal memorial in Italy

Students and teachers from the Liceo Artistico Statale di Siderno created a monumental painting, 2.80 m × 1.40 m, portraying the historic Battle of Culqualber. Coordinated by professor Rosario La Seta, the work was presented to the Carabinieri Group in Locri during a ceremony attended by school representatives and military officials, highlighting the role of art in preserving collective memory and reinforcing ties between the community and the force.

On 1 May, Venice hosted the first “Piffari – Daprà – Bernardello” memorial futsal tournament, a five‑a‑side football event organized to remember the Carabinieri officers killed in 2025. The competition served as a public tribute and a moment of unity for families, colleagues and local residents.

Both events reflect local initiatives that combine cultural expression and sport to honor Italy’s national police force.
