Carabinieri host community festivals in Milan and Rome in early June 2026

The Italian national police force, the Carabinieri, organized two public outreach events in early June 2026. On May 31, the 19th Dù Dì Country fair in Sant'Agata Martesana (near Milan) featured mounted Carabinieri units from the Pioltello company, the Cassina de' Pechi station and the Monza horse‑mounted unit, with two black horses interacting with families and children. The fair, part of a larger village celebration running until June 7, used the horse patrol to connect the institution with the local community.

From June 4 to 7, Rome’s Villa Borghese hosted the “Villaggio Arma” to mark the Carabinieri’s 212th anniversary. The open‑air exhibition offered stands, simulations and hands‑on activities, including horse‑riding lessons with the 4th Horse Regiment, 3‑D crime‑scene investigations, counterfeit‑note detection, underwater recovery drills, a “killing house” explosive‑neutralisation demo, VR driving simulations and sport demonstrations. The inauguration was led by General Salvatore Luongo, accompanied by actress Maria Grazia Cucinotta and presenter Flavio Insinna.
