Carabinieri seize stolen car with cloned plates in Gricignano d'Aversa

Carabinieri officers in Gricignano d'Aversa discovered a stolen white Fiat Punto during a patrol of a local Roma camp on August 13. Investigations revealed the vehicle had been fitted with cloned license plates belonging to a different Fiat Punto owned by a woman in the Naples area.

Further checks of the chassis number confirmed the car had been reported stolen on August 5 in the province of Naples. A 52-year-old man found in possession of the vehicle has been charged with receiving stolen goods and money laundering. The vehicle has been seized and placed in judicial custody.
