Carabinieri thwart two tractor thefts in Italy

In Campomarino, Molise, a night‑time attempt to steal a large tractor from the Sardaro agricultural company was foiled on July 22‑23. The Institute of Vigilance Città di Termoli’s real‑time video‑surveillance detected the intrusion, and together with Carabinieri patrols the thieves abandoned the tractor in the surrounding fields, allowing authorities to recover the vehicle and return it to its owners.

In Vitulazio, Caserta province, a similar theft attempt was interrupted in the early hours of the following night. Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section from Capua responded to a distress call, intercepted the suspects after a routine guard checkpoint, and apprehended two Albanian men, while a third accomplice remains at large. Seized items included radio transmitters, masks, a torch and gloves, and the suspect vehicle was impounded.
