Carabobo prepares Naguanagua Olympic Village for 2026 Communal Sports Games

In Carabobo, Venezuela, renovations are underway at the Naguanagua Olympic Village to prepare for the IV Communal Sports Games, scheduled for October 17–31, 2026. The project aims to host over 1,500 athletes from 22 states and the Capital District.

Leobaldo Gómez, president of Fundadeporte, stated that the region is preparing for competitions in athletics, para-athletics, gymnastics, and table tennis. Infrastructure improvements include the reconstruction of facades, walls, and perimeter fencing, as well as the maintenance of green areas and plazas. The lodging facility, consisting of four floors with 100 rooms per level, is being fully recovered to accommodate between 600 and 900 athletes. Additional upgrades involve the electrical backup system, gymnasiums, and cafeteria services.
