Venezuela National Communal Sports Games

Preparations for the IV Communal Sports Games in Venezuela began with infrastructure renovations at the Naguanagua Olympic Village in Carabobo. These upgrades included reconstructing facades, walls, and perimeter fencing, as well as maintaining green areas, plazas, and electrical backup systems to accommodate up to 900 athletes.

As the event approached, the Ministry of People's Power for Sport confirmed the games will run from October 22 to November 7, involving approximately 33,947 participants—including athletes, coaches, medical staff, and technical teams—from 230 communities across 25 states. Minister Franklin Cardillo noted the event is intended to serve as a talent pool for future Olympic cycles, specifically targeting the 2036 Olympics.

Competitions are distributed across four primary locations:

• Aragua: Kikimbol, football, indoor volleyball, and chess. • Carabobo: Conventional and adapted athletics, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, and table tennis. • Caracas: Traditional competitions for seniors and group classes. • Lara: Aquatic sports, skateboarding, inline skating, 3x3 basketball, and baseball five.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for October 23 in Aragua, with the closing ceremony to be held in Lara on November 6.
