Brazilian banking sector sees new premium card launches and travel benefits
The Brazilian financial and credit card market is seeing several updates regarding premium services and new product launches. Itaú has officially listed the Personnalité Mastercard The Essential in its fee schedule, positioning it as an intermediate premium option with an annual fee of R$ 960 (R$ 80 per month).
In the travel benefits sector, the Visa Airport Companion app has introduced a Fast Track feature. This allows passengers to reserve priority security lane access at select airports, including locations in Brazil, for a fee. This service is distinct from the free Visa Infinite Fast Pass available at certain airports like Guarulhos and Galeão.
Competition among cooperatives is also notable, with the Unicred Visa Ímpar and Sicoob Zenith cards vying for high-income clients. While Unicred offers higher international points and unlimited lounge access, Sicoob Zenith provides a lower annual fee and more additional cards. Additionally, the Azul Itaú Mastercard Skyline Black remains a key option for frequent flyers, offering specific rewards like companion passes and cabin upgrades based on spending thresholds.
