Worldcoin (WLD) faces price volatility amid ETF interest and network upgrades

Worldcoin (WLD) is experiencing significant price volatility and technical shifts. The token has recently traded around the $0.36 pivot point, which aligns with the SMA 50 and SMA 200, while also testing upper Bollinger Band resistance.

Market interest is being driven by several factors, including the activation of EIP-7928 on World Chain to enhance network speed and a scheduled 43% reduction in the aggregate daily WLD unlock rate. This reduction has lowered daily emissions from approximately 5.1 million to 2.9 million tokens. Additionally, institutional interest is noted following Grayscale’s filing for a spot Worldcoin ETF, which remains under SEC review.

Technical analysis shows WLD has recently broken out of an August ascending channel, with price action testing key Fibonacci retracement levels. While some analysts remain bullish on long-term targets, recent heavy sell volume has caused the token to lose momentum near the $0.34–$0.35 range.
