Cardinal Sergio da Rocha celebrates 25 years of episcopate in Salvador

Cardinal Sergio da Rocha, the Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia and Primate of Brazil, is celebrating 25 years of his episcopate. The milestone was marked by a Thanksgiving Mass at the Basilica Cathedral of the Most Holy Savior in Salvador's Historic Center, attended by over 30 bishops from various Brazilian dioceses.

In addition to the anniversary celebrations, which included a special concert, the Cardinal recently conducted a Missionary Pastoral Visit to the Santos Cosme e Damião Parish in the Liberdade neighborhood. Accompanied by auxiliary and emeritus bishops, the visit focused on community engagement, visiting the elderly and sick, and strengthening local pastoral leadership through direct interaction with parishioners.
