Carlos Vives and Juan Luis Guerra debut 'Buscando el mar' video

Colombian singer Carlos Vives and Dominican maestro Juan Luis Guerra released the official music video for their collaboration “Buscando el mar.” The song, part of Vives’ album *El Último Disco, Vol. 1*, draws lyrical inspiration from Gabriel García Márquez’s novel *Cien años de soledad* and blends Caribbean rhythms with pop, accordion, percussion, guitars and piano. The video showcases Colombian Caribbean beaches, mangroves and coastlines, reinforcing the track’s themes of freedom and connection to the sea.

The release follows the album’s strong chart performance, with singles “Te dedico” and “Tuyo y nada más” topping Latin Airplay, Tropical Airplay and radio charts in Colombia, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Chile. Vives also confirmed his participation in a benefit concert titled “A Concert for Venezuela,” scheduled for 23 August at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The event, organized by Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, will feature artists such as Beck, Natalia Lafourcade, Lasso and others, and aims to raise funds for communities affected by the June earthquakes in Venezuela.
