Carlos Vives album promotion 2026

Overview

In late July 2026 Colombian singer Carlos Vives released the personal track “Yo siempre estoy aquí,” a song dedicated to his children and featured on his new album El Último Disco, Vol. 1. A week later he and Dominican legend Juan Luis Guerra issued the official video for their collaboration “Buscando el Mar,” shot along Colombian Caribbean beaches and mangroves and drawing lyrical inspiration from Gabriel García Márquez’s *Cien años de soledad*.

In early August the duo debuted the video, emphasizing themes of freedom and connection to the sea while the album’s singles “Te dedico” and “Tuyo y nada más” topped Latin Airplay, Tropical Airplay and radio charts in Colombia, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Chile and beyond. Vives also confirmed his participation in a benefit concert titled “A Concert for Venezuela,” scheduled for 23 August at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Organized by conductor Gustavo Dudamel and featuring artists such as Beck, Natalia Lafourcade and Lasso, the event aims to raise funds for communities affected by the June earthquakes in Venezuela.
