Carly Rae Jepsen announces 24-track double album ‘Day and Night’

Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen is releasing a new 24-track double album titled ‘Day and Night’ on September 18 through Interscope Records. The project is structured into two interconnected halves.

The first half focuses on organic and psychedelic sounds, featuring the singles ‘On Wires’ and the introspective track ‘After All’. Written with collaborators Kyle Shearer and Nate Cyphert, ‘After All’ explores personal themes such as motherhood and identity. The music video for the track was directed by Aerin Moreno.

The second half, titled ‘Night’, shifts toward a more electronic and danceable aesthetic. The single ‘Don’t Leave Me on the Dancefloor’ serves as a preview for this segment, drawing inspiration from ABBA and Daft Punk with futuristic synthesizers and heavy bass. The music video for this track marks the directorial debut of Jeremy O. Harris and features Alden Ehrenreich and Olivia Washington.
