Carmelo Peralta advances access works for the Bioceanic Bridge
Construction is progressing on the access roads to the Puente de la Bioceánica in the urban area of Carmelo Peralta. Work is currently focused on a double avenue involving the installation of rigid pavement, with hundreds of linear meters already concreted. The project also includes critical drainage works, such as the construction of culverts and open channels, to mitigate flooding in the urban zone.
In the sections leading toward the international bridge, crews are working on piling and foundations. Rural works are also underway, including embankment formation and the installation of pumping lines.
This infrastructure aims to connect the urban grid of Carmelo Peralta directly to the Puente de la Bioceánica, an international bridge funded by Itaipú that will link Paraguay and Brazil. As part of the Bioceanic Corridor, the project is designed to connect Atlantic and Pacific ports, facilitating international cargo transport and regional development.
