Carnaval celebrations in Veracruz and Guamúchil set registration deadlines

Organizers for the 2027 Carnaval de Veracruz and Carnaval Guamúchil have provided updates regarding candidate registrations for their respective royal courts.

In Veracruz, the registration period for the Queen, King, and Children's Royal Court is currently underway and will conclude on October 2. Daniel Martín Lois, Director of Tourism and Carnival of Veracruz, reported that several candidates have already applied across various categories. Registration costs are determined by category, with children's categories costing slightly over 28,000 pesos and adult categories exceeding 70,000 pesos.

In Guamúchil, the Carnaval 2027 Board of Trustees has extended the registration deadline for queen aspirants by one week. The new deadline is October 2. Romel Omar Báez Lugo, president of the board, stated the extension was granted to accommodate requests for more time. Interested participants can register at the Casa de la Cultura de Guamúchil.
