Carnival updates loyalty program and Rewards Mastercard

Carnival has updated its loyalty program and introduced changes to the Carnival Rewards Mastercard, issued by Barclays. The new credit card offer includes a 50,000-point bonus following $1,000 in purchases within the first 90 days of account opening. These points can be redeemed at a value of 1 cent each for Carnival cruise bookings or onboard credits, making the initial bonus worth approximately $500.

The card has no annual fee and features an updated earning structure. Cardholders earn 3X rewards points per dollar spent on Carnival, 2X points on restaurants and groceries, and 1X on all other purchases. Additionally, users can earn one Status Qualifying Star per $1 spent on everyday purchases. The Mastercard World card also includes no foreign currency conversion fees.
