Carrefour Poland introduces new deposit system return options

Carrefour Poland is implementing new measures to streamline the deposit return process for packaging. Customers can now redeem deposit vouchers at any traditional checkout to receive cash or use the funds to discount their purchases. If the deposit amount exceeds the total purchase value, the difference will be paid out in cash by the cashier.

Additionally, all self-service checkouts within the network allow customers to use deposit amounts to reduce their total bill, eliminating the need to wait in specialized queues. The retailer is also expanding its services to include the acceptance of returnable glass bottles from private manufacturer systems, covering approximately 200 types of packaging. Other services include the exchange of SodaStream and Dafi CO2 cylinders, as well as gas cylinders and certain car batteries.
