Carrefour slashes butter price and launches deep discounts in Poland

Carrefour Poland began a week‑long promotion (3‑8 August) that cut the price of a 500 g pack of clarified butter from about 34 zł to just under 14 zł, a reduction of roughly 19.7 zł. The retailer also offered discounts of up to 80 % on a range of grocery items and introduced “1‑grosz” deals on products such as Berlinki sausages, Eduscho coffee and Wedel chocolate. The offers are available to customers with a PAYBACK, senior, or Carrefour app coupon.

A separate analysis of nearly 32 000 grocery promotions shows that about half of the deals require additional conditions, most commonly a quantity purchase. To maximise savings, shoppers are advised to build flexible lists by category rather than specific items, and to use price‑comparison tools such as the free service Tanszy Koszyk, which aggregates flyers from multiple chains in seconds.
