NBC Unveils 'The Voice: Celebrity' Spin‑off, Keke Palmer to Host, Joe Jonas to Coach
NBC announced a new celebrity edition of its long‑running singing competition, titled “The Voice: Celebrity,” slated to premiere in spring 2027 as Season 31 of the series. The spin‑off will replace undiscovered singers with a roster of actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians and other public figures competing for the first celebrity champion title. Keke Palmer will take over as host, succeeding longtime host Carson Daly, who will remain involved as a producer after stepping back due to scheduling constraints. The coaching panel will feature pop star Joe Jonas in his U.S. coaching debut, alongside returning coaches Queen Latifah and country singer Riley Green. New format elements include “Voice Boot Camp,” offering behind‑the‑scenes looks at preparation for blind auditions, and a “VIP Room” where contestants watch each other perform. Production began in Los Angeles in summer 2026, with blind auditions already filmed. The spin‑off marks the first U.S. celebrity‑focused version of the franchise.
