Casignana hosts third Dialog Festival to promote Mediterranean culture

The third edition of the Dialog Festival is returning to Casignana, Calabria, centered on the theme "The Mediterranean that resists: Calabria at the center of a new cultural geography." The event utilizes the Villa Romana and the historical center of Casignana as symbolic meeting points between historical heritage and modern communities.

The festival aims to reposition Calabria not as a cultural periphery, but as a natural connection point for peoples and territories. The program integrates various disciplines, including archaeology, theater, music, literature, and craftsmanship, to address regional challenges such as depopulation and territorial regeneration through cultural economies.

Key components of the festival include the "Festa dell’accoglienza" (Festival of Hospitality) organized with students from the University of Perugia, and the "Forum delle Ville Romane e delle Città Archeologiche," which seeks to establish Casignana as a reference point for the relationship between archaeological heritage and territorial development.
