Castellammare di Stabia: Political group calls for coordinated investment agreement

The Democratici e Progressisti political group has issued an appeal to Campania Region President Roberto Fico and Naples Mayor Gaetano Manfredi to establish an ‘Accordo per Castellammare’. The proposal seeks to coordinate resources and projects through a formal agreement with the Municipality of Castellammare di Stabia.

The city is currently facing administrative instability following the second dissolution of its City Council in four years due to organized crime infiltration. A new extraordinary Commission has been appointed to manage the administration for the next two years.

Political leaders warn that this instability threatens the implementation of significant investments, including 15 million euros for earthquake-related prefab removal in the Savorito district and 35 million euros for the Old Port and Fincantieri. Other strategic dossiers include investments in a new hospital and Sarno river remediation.
