Castellers achieve high-level performances in Valls and Llorenç del Penedès

Castell competitions during the Firagost festival in Valls and celebrations in Llorenç del Penedès have showcased high-level human tower performances despite recent challenges for some groups.

In Valls, the Colla Vella Xiquets de Valls demonstrated significant resilience by completing a 5d9f, a 4d9sf, and a 7d9f, noting that they have not had any fallen towers so far in 2026. The Colla Joves successfully performed a 4d9f and a 2d9fm, though they opted to dismantle a 4d9sf attempt to ensure safety.

In Llorenç del Penedès, the Colla Jove Xiquets de Tarragona delivered a solid performance including a 3d9f and a 4d8a. The Colla Joves completed several 8-story structures, including a 4d8, while the Nens del Vendrell focused on 8-story towers such as the 3d8 and 4d8.
