Castellers de Vilafranca aim to build first 10‑level tower of the year in Vilanova i la Geltrú

During the Les Neus festival on 1 August, the Castellers de Vilafranca plan to attempt the season’s first 3de10 tower with folre and manilles, marking the first ten‑level human tower of the year. The group has already performed several 9‑level towers earlier in the season and hopes to finish the performance with an 8‑level pillar supported by folre and manilles.

Other local colles are also targeting ambitious constructions: the Colla Jove Xiquets de Tarragona aim to present a 3de9 with folre, a 2de9 with folre and manilles, and a 4de9 with folre; the Nens del Vendrell look to complete a 3de8 and debut a 7de8; and the Bordegassos de Vilanova consider a classic 8‑tower with folre, a structure they have not attempted since 2017. The combined programmes create a showcase of high‑level human‑tower activity for the festival.
