Castellers prepare for upcoming Concurs de Castells competition

Preparations are intensifying for the upcoming Concurs de Castells, a major biennial human tower competition.

Castellers de Cerdanyola have secured a place in the Torredembarra competition, marking their return to the event since 2022. The group has increased rehearsal intensity to attempt more complex structures than previously performed. The selection process for participation is highly competitive, based on the five best performances recorded between August 31 of the previous year and August 31 of the competition year.

Meanwhile, Castellers de Vilafranca are preparing to defend their title. The group aims to secure their thirteenth championship, noting their historical dominance with twelve wins in the last fourteen competitions. They are currently recruiting 1,200 people to support their efforts and are rehearsing high-level structures, including the 9d9f, to ensure victory.
