Castells Contest organization and qualification

Overview

The Castells Contest is moving through organizational and competitive phases. Initially, the event entered a second ticket allocation phase starting August 24, following the cancellation of at least 40 tickets due to irregularities and the invalidation of 16 requests made by minors. This process made 2,898 seats available for the competition.

Following the closure of the Rànquing Estrella Concurs on August 31, 42 human tower groups (colles) have qualified for the 30th Concurs de Castells. The rankings are currently led by Castellers de Vilafranca, Colla Vella, and Joves de Valls.

The competition is scheduled to take place across three sessions: September 27 in Torredembarra, and October 3 and 4 at the Tarraco Arena. Qualified groups have 48 hours to confirm participation, with the final list of participants expected on September 9 and a public draw for performance order scheduled for September 11.
