Castellón Airport sees record passenger growth in September

Castellón Airport has achieved its highest-ever passenger numbers for the month of September, recording 45,900 passengers, a 15.8% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth brings the year-to-date total to 295,484 passengers, representing a 13% year-on-year increase.

Raquel París, Director General of Aerocas, noted that the summer season saw three consecutive record-breaking months, with July reaching 49,250 passengers and August peaking at 52,328. The airport's performance has been driven by both regular routes and charter operations, including those linked to the Cersaie fair in Bologna.

The current growth trajectory supports the airport's strategy of route diversification and expansion. Officials maintain a forecast that 2026 will become the most successful year in the airport's history regarding commercial traffic.
