Castelnovo ne’ Monti hosts artisanal bread festival and San Michele Fair

The town of Castelnovo ne’ Monti is hosting the 35th edition of the Festa del pane artigianale (Artisanal Bread Festival) as part of the annual Fiera di San Michele. Held from September 26 to 28 in Piazza Gramsci, the event focuses on celebrating local mountain products and culinary history. This year’s edition highlights the return of the giant mortadella as a tribute to the traditional workshops that once defined the area's food industry.

In addition to food tastings featuring bread, pizza, and local cheeses, the Fiera di San Michele includes social and family-oriented activities. Piazza Peretti will host various entertainment options, including traditional games, board games, and magic shows, aimed at revitalizing the historic center and engaging families and children.
