LaManchaOperaFest launches school drawing contest in Tomelloso

Various regional cultural and educational initiatives have been announced across Spain. In Tomelloso, LaManchaOperaFest, in collaboration with the local City Council, has launched the ‘Dibuja La Traviata’ school drawing contest. Aimed at primary school students, the competition encourages children to express their creative interpretation of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera through various artistic techniques. Winners will receive tickets to see the performance at the Teatro Marcelo Grande.

In Castilla-La Mancha, the government has opened the call for the 22nd edition of the ‘Consumópolis’ school contest. This program aims to teach students about responsible consumption through pedagogical and ludic challenges. Meanwhile, the Mancomunidad THAM is hosting a series of free online sessions for families covering topics such as artificial intelligence in childhood, ADHD, and adolescence.

Other local updates include the high demand for municipal workshops in La Laguna, which received 2,700 applications in two days, and the opening of enrollment for the Folklore School in Toro to preserve traditional music. In Monclova, the Mini Pape Children's Cultural Center has also opened registrations for its upcoming cycle of artistic and recreational workshops.
