Castilla-La Mancha strengthens nuclear medicine capabilities

The II Regional Conference of Nuclear Medicine of Castilla-La Mancha is being held in Guadalajara, bringing together 60 professionals from across the region and Spain to discuss scientific and technological advancements in the field.

Cristina Pérez Hortet, the Director General of Healthcare Assistance at SESCAM, inaugurated the event, highlighting the regional government's efforts to strengthen nuclear medicine within the public health system. The goal is to provide more precise and personalized patient care through new services and technology.

Key developments include the expansion of nuclear medicine capabilities in Guadalajara and the implementation of PET-TC and SPECT-TC technologies in Cuenca. These advancements are supported by a coordinated network model and tools like NumisCAM, which allows professionals to share images and reports across different centers.
