Castilla-La Mancha to offer 1,978 university residence places

The regional government of Castilla-La Mancha will publish the provisional resolution for new residents in university dormitories on Tuesday, August 11. For the 2026-2027 academic year, the region is offering 1,978 places distributed across 15 residences located in its five provinces.

Approximately 3,000 students submitted applications, meaning roughly 65% of applicants are expected to secure a placement. The residential network includes facilities in Albacete, Almadén, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Talavera de la Reina, and Toledo.

In Ciudad Real, the number of residences has increased to five following the opening of the Francisco Nieva residence, a commitment made by regional president Emiliano García-Page. Mar Torrecilla, the Vice-Counselor of Education, Universities, and Research, highlighted recent infrastructure improvements at the El Doncel residence in Ciudad Real, specifically regarding roof waterproofing.
