Overview
The regional government of Castilla-La Mancha is preparing for the 2026-2027 academic year by addressing student housing needs. The government will publish a provisional resolution on August 11 for 1,978 university residence places distributed across 15 facilities in five provinces.
With approximately 3,000 applications submitted, about 65% of applicants are expected to secure a placement. The residential network includes locations in Albacete, Almadén, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Talavera de la Reina, and Toledo. In Ciudad Real, the number of residences has increased to five following the opening of the Francisco Nieva residence. Additionally, infrastructure improvements, such as roof waterproofing, have been noted at the El Doncel residence.
