Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y León launch regional development initiatives

The regional governments of Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y León are implementing various economic and social development initiatives.

In Castilla-La Mancha, President Emiliano García-Page announced over 17.5 million euros to boost employment through dual vocational training and the creation of industrial SMEs. Additionally, the region is investing approximately 450,000 euros via ADESIMAN to support 18 municipal projects in rural areas, focusing on public services, sports facilities, and energy efficiency. To address rural health disparities, the ‘Horizonte Rural’ project will deploy nursing teams to provide health promotion and prevention services in remote areas. Furthermore, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the region is training 220 vocational teachers in cloud computing and generative artificial intelligence.

In Castilla y León, the regional government has authorized a 25 million euro loan through Sodical Inversión, backed by the European Investment Bank. This initiative aims to fund 22 business projects, potentially inducing 177 million euros in investment and sustaining over 4,000 jobs, with a specific focus on increasing the competitiveness of SMEs and mid-caps in rural territories.
