Castilla y León promotes Spanish language teaching in Switzerland
The Junta de Castilla y León has organized a didactic workshop in Bern, Switzerland, aimed at teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE). The initiative, held in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy and the Swiss Association of Spanish Teachers, focuses on the integration of Artificial Intelligence in language instruction.
Representatives from six Spanish language schools from Salamanca and Soria participated in the event, providing workshops on topics such as digital tools, gamification, and the use of images and art in the classroom. The event brought together approximately 60 to 70 educators from secondary, adult, and university levels.
In addition to the training sessions, the program included a commercial exhibition space to promote Salamanca as a destination for Spanish language learning. This initiative marks the first time such a linguistic promotion activity has been conducted in Switzerland, targeting a growing interest in Spanish within the Swiss educational market.
