Castilla y León promotes tourism and industrial development
The regional government of Castilla y León is implementing several strategic initiatives to boost economic development through tourism and industry. In Madrid, the regional Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Sport is promoting the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector to attract corporate events, with the city of Zamora specifically highlighting its unique rural and historical spaces as alternatives to large urban centers.
On the industrial front, the Junta de Castilla y León is organizing sectoral working groups to draft the III Industrial Promotion Master Plan for 2026-2030. These sessions will focus on bioeconomy, health, food, advanced manufacturing, and infrastructure to define future regional policy.
Additionally, the ninth edition of Naturcyl, an ecotourism fair, is being held in San Ildefonso to showcase the relationship between rural territories and nature conservation, providing a platform for professional networking and the promotion of sustainable tourism models.
